I am a licensed clinical psychologist. I am a first generation South Asian American woman (pronouns: she/her/hers) and grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. I earned my Master’s Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I subsequently furthered my training with an internship and a two year post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. I have completed advanced level trainings in CBT, DBT, ACT, and maternal mental health through PSI, and I am a trained Family Connections leader. I have previously taught graduate level courses as an adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University. I have also served on the board of a non-profit organization, 2020 Mom, to help close gaps in maternal mental health care on both a state and national level.
